Finding the Right Bridesmaid Dress Accessories

After completing the difficult task of choosing the perfect dress for your bridesmaids, it will be a fun and welcome change to begin picking out accessories. The accessories you choose can either make or break your entire look. You may want to choose items that coordinate all the bridesmaids or you may let them choose accessories that fit their own unique style. Either way you go, be sure to not to use to much or you risk creating a cluttered look.

Gloves Gloves can turn a simple dress into something elegant and special. Gloves can be long, which are more for an evening or night wedding or short for daytime. Lace or satin gloves look stylish and classy, perfect for the fanciest or the simplest weddings.

Purses Purses do not necessarily need to be used at weddings however, they are good for carrying makeup or other personal items. Purses can easily be lost so it is a good idea to choose a clutch purse with a wristlet. This wraps around the wrist so that the bridesmaid doesn?t have to worry about losing it.

Earrings Earrings will complete the look of any bridesmaid. Choose your earring according to dress style. Large earrings look best with strapless dresses while long or hoop earrings look better with straps. Choose studs when wearing a dress with sleeves or wide straps.

Hair Many girls like to wear their hair in an up do for a wedding. Using a simple bum cover or some small flowers to accent, this style would be quite elegant. For those who choose to wear their hair down, some simple jeweled hair pins or clips may be appropriate. Whatever you do choose carefully. Big, fancy hair accessories can be too much with a lot of other jewelry.

Necklaces Depending on the type of dress you wear, a necklace or choker may not be appropriate. You may or may not get away with a necklace when wearing a dress with straps, but usually you can wear either with a strapless dress. It?s not a good idea to wear necklaces with a halter because they don?t align well and tend to go under the neckline of the dress.

Nails Having your nails done will put the finishing touch on your attire. It would be a nice idea to give your bridesmaids a manicure day at your home or send them to a salon. Rhinestones and other gems are a welcome embellishment as long as they match your attire. Nail polish color should also coordinate with the rest of the outfit.
